Starting in 2017 as a class project at Babson college, Massachusetts, Pure World has continued to gain momentum as a unique adventure brand.
Pure World creates sustainable hand crafted backpacks in Nepal. Made with 100% pure organic hemp. Hemp is a plant fiber from the stem of the cannabis sativa plant. It is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, petrochemical free, biodegradable and highly durable. Hemp’s tensile strength is up to 8x stronger compared to other textiles.
Working with the most established and socially responsible backpack makers in all of Nepal, Pure World supports roughly 300 Nepalese people, while also offering programs such as free daily lunch, 15 minutes of daily meditation, 10 days paid annual vacation, OH and S training and donations to disaster relief to name a few.
Today, Pure World continues to be a symbol of spontaneous adventure and wild free-spiritedness in the travel community.
Where will your bag take you?
We recommend washing your hemp product by mixing cold water with a small amount of natural, liquid soap and washing by hand.
After washing, rinse with cold water and leave out to sun dry.
Bleach and harsh detergents will harm the natural fibers.
Machine washing and dryers are not recommended.
