Pure World Hemp Backpacks

Welcome back!
In a world that increasingly values conscious consumerism, Pure World Backpacks have emerged as a popular choice for individuals seeking a harmonious fusion of beautiful Nepalese style, sustainability, and social impact.
Check out our range of Pure World Backpacks here.
Pure World's remarkable journey began as a class project at Babson College, driven by a shared vision and a determination to make an ethical difference.
The essence of Pure World goes beyond its products. It encompasses the formation of a global community of travellers, united by their shared love for exploration and sustainability.
Today, Pure World stands as a unique adventure brand, renowned for crafting vegan friendly and sustainable backpacks in Nepal using 100% pure organic hemp.

Why organic hemp?
Hemp is a versatile and sustainable plant that grows quickly without the need for chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
It thrives in diverse climates and improves soil health through natural phytoremediation.
Hemp uses about half the amount of water comparative to other textiles.
It is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, petrochemical free, biodegradable.
Hemp’s tensile strength is up to 8x stronger compared to other textiles.

The use of hemp fibres in Pure World Backpacks ensures durability and longevity, while reducing the reliance on non-renewable resources.

Working with the most established and socially responsible backpack makers in all of Nepal, Pure World supports roughly 300 Nepalese people, while also offering programs such as free daily lunch, 15 minutes of daily meditation, 10 days paid annual vacation, OH and S training and donations to disaster relief to name a few.
By working with local artisans, they actively work towards preserving traditional craftsmanship. By incorporating local techniques and skills, they contribute to the cultural heritage of the community and help sustain traditional livelihoods.

Our only questions is, where will your bag take you?

All the best,
Mathew Ahearn
